A message to the young couple having an emergency c-section:
While I'm sorry that your baby is so sick, I can honestly say all the sex you two had "in the naughty place" did not harm your baby. However, all the methamphetamines that you were cooking, packaging, distributing, and occasionally ingesting might have played a part.
Thanks to Freya for waking me up 15 minutes into my nap. We needed to wash the sheets, so throwing up on them was a fantastic incentive.
Son of mine, if you are refusing a snack AND your sippy cup full of milk, yet you try to haul up my shirt to have at it, you will be turned away. Nursing for fun is coming to a close.
A giant thanks to my Mom, who stayed home while Kevin and I went to The Hub for a date! I had two cocktails, and Kevin got to have "time with his wife" two nights in a row. Mom and I didn't have tons of visiting time during her (too short) visit. But as she said, "I'm here to see Patrick!" She said this a couple of times. She never mentioned me, her first born daughter. Therefore, I have no guilt about letting her see Patrick all day long while I read books.
And thanks to Elle, for the stories. While I'm sad to be de-throned, may you wear the tiara with pride and honor.
