I am love love loving! this weather. It's like a real Christmas, with this beautiful powdery snow. Patrick only lasts about 10 minutes before getting too cold. We'd talked about getting snow gear, but that stuff ain't cheap! Thanks to some hand-me-downs that will (hopefully) last through next year, we'll be better prepared. We did some sledding at Darin and Dana's house down the block. They have a great hill in their back yard. Kevin McGyver'ed a sled for us out of Danica's old crate. It was big enough for the grownups to take all the kids down at the same time. Later on I took Danica and Freya to the park to get their run out. Again, beautiful! It looks like a holiday movie set. They paid me back by being wonderfully behaved (that means tired) for the rest of the eveing. After everybody went to bed, I wrapped some presents and watched Tim Allen's The Santa Clause. I love these movies, but Tim reminds me So Much of my Dad, that it's also bittersweet. But in his performances I feel like I get a glimpse of all the good stuff my Dad brought to the table. Good memories, no baggage. It's a good mix.

We never get tired of more pictures! One of these days, Patrick will realize what a cool mom he has for documenting his life so well...but that's way after he's embarrased at everything you do!:)
All kidding aside, I know what you mean about the memories. At this time of year, it's definitely easier to remember all the good things and let the bad things fall to the wayside...
