Mini Update without pictures

Lordy, the last 2 weeks flew. Our first Christmas was Patrick was fantastic. We didn't go overboard with presents, started some great traditions, and still have our sanity (just barely).

In brief:

I worked the weekend/Christmas eve. Haven't done three 12's in a while. Yikes. Busy, but a good crew always helps. When I came home Monday night, Kevin had gotten loads of stuff done, the house looks amazing, dinner was ready, and presents were wrapped! We had Christmas Eve Fondue and managed to stay awake until 11pm service at Church.

We stayed home for Christmas and let family come to us. Mom and Craig drove down in the morning after visiting with Craig's daughter. Patrick opened some more presents with Grandma, Craig shot videos that only Grandma, Mimi Cindy, and Gigi will enjoy (because really, how exciting is it to watch a 6 month old eat wrapping paper). We spent the rest of the day eating.

Patrick is officially started on solids. Avocados and bananas so far. They are both Big Hits. All the other mommies said the diapers get more interesting. They are correct, sir.

Got to see the rest of the fam this last weekend. Stayed with Nancy, saw David and Beth's adorable apartment, visited Beth at work where I tried on expensive Jewelry, visited with Mimi Cindy/TWSM (the wicked stepmother), ate lots more, had a family field trip to IKEA, and took the best bath in my Mom's giant tub. Kevin and I relaxed, shared all the gossip, and loved on everybody. Perfect.

Today was the Girlfriends' Holiday De-Briefing Brunch. A major success at Elle's perfect house. Everything was supercute, great food, three bottles of wine (we only went through two), and all my very favorite girls who live in town and have husbands/kids were there! Everybody had LOTS to say. As for Drama Drama, I think I won that category. Lucky me. I'm just completely mad about all these girls. The Most Wonderful, everyone.

The girlfriends' holiday de-brief should be a federal holiday, complete with paid overtime salary at times 3.5 ... in the meantime I'll just settle for what we just had. Loved every minute of it.
