Another celebrity cliche

Renee Zellwiger and Kenny Chesney (he's a country music artist) will have their 4-month old marraige annulled. Why does it make me so sad that perfect strangers couldn't make their marraige work? It's bad enough when my friends try so hard, only to have the best solution be to part ways. Then we're all sad.
