Damn it's cold. I decided to cook today simply to help warm up the house. I cringe at the thought of our heating bill. The one that comes right at the holidays. Just in time for me to spend $300 on doggie dental work, pay Kevin's second student loan, and try to buy presents for people.

Still tired. Still grumpy. Everything is normal. Let me confess to a few key people before I post on line. Even though I was "outed" at the latest staff meeting. There are NO secrets at work, I swear to God. But socializing sounds nice again. I have some girls I desparately need to call.

Lena is home! I would go and see her if the weather and roads weren't atrocious. Perhaps later this week. We do Gingerbread houses with Emily this weekend. Shaun might leave for Scotland again on Saturday evening, but that leaves him free to watch kiddos while Lena and I start our Christmas. Watch two children while packing for an international business trip. Lena is the kind of wife and mother that makes me proud to call her my friend.

And now I'm sinfully jealous of Camille, her wine tasting weekend, and her closet full of lovely wine. Perhaps she'll share some with me in July.

And that's a hint for you.

No Scotland trip for Shaun just yet. So I'll need my black dress back. :)

Can't wait to catch up with you in person.

I'm so excited (and I just can't hide it!

I will save the apple merlot or the apple chardonnay for you. Which would you prefer? Or we can just drive up there and do some wine tasting of our own. :)
