A Note About Blogs

Who out there finds it hard to keep up with everybody?

Wow, so many!

At first, email seemed the hight of ease. Not only could you send somebody a message at 2am while procrastinating on your English lit paper, they would get it immediately. And might even reply right away!

But now with everybody starting blogs, it's even better. Updates, pictures, funny stories, bitching (subtle or not) about family, it's all there. And if one is feeling nosy, following links from friends' blogs can lead to other friends! I've been reading all about the fun lives of people from University who I never really hung out with, but now I can find pictures of their Christmas Morning.

Awesome!

And knowing that some of the wonderful people in my life take the time to read my notes, admire pictures of my kiddo and puppies, and perhaps even comment, I find that incredibly touching. And I feel connected.

So for the "family" members who don't read my blog (not that they just don't like blogs, they actively refuse to read mine. And they informed me of this), they can just count their blessings that my manners are too good to grump about them for everybody else to read.

Ahh... they are missin out! I enjoy your blog, and your e-mails. BTW, I tried to add your husband to my myspace so you can see all of our pics.

I couldn't agree more with your feelings about blogging. Especially now for us being so far away, it is a wonderful way to remain connected with so many people. Don and I always love turning to your and Kevin's blog to hear what's happening with you guys and see the adorable pics of Patrick who I hope we will get to meet someday in person. But in the meantime, it's nice to at least be able to hear stories about him and watch him grow through this wonderful technology. We miss you guys.
