My dearest Kevin: Happy Anniversary Babe!
As I type, Patrick and the puppies are sleeping and you are off at opera rehersal. Unlike the last few years, we actually got to celebrate today. A lovely brunch at Stadium Bistro with mimosas! (Note to readers, only the first mimosa is complimentary. The other six you have to pay for.) Without the baby! Thank goodness for Grandmas who come up to babysit. I really enjoyed the marriage debrief, and I agree with you. We are doing pretty darn well.
It's been a big year for us. Lots of happiness, our fair share of frustration, a touch of drama, and throughout it all, lots of talking. Can't shut either one of us up, but it seems to be serving us well. The talking seems to get us through all our issues, over and over again. Thank you for working so hard with me, for leading me, and for sometimes following me, as we worked our way though the past year. We are going great, and we are still having so much fun together.
My biggest joy of the year is Patrick. What was our life like eight months and 12 days ago? When we could leave the house at a moment's notice. When the only electronic toys in the house were yours. When sex wasn't interrupted by lonely cries from the next room. We've both grown up and grown together thanks to that little guy, and I love watching you be his Daddy. You are a great dad, and my heart sings watching you two together.
I love that we both forgot to buy cards this year. I love that you usually buy your own present and this year is no exception (cool watch!). I love our life together. Thank you for choosing me.

Happy Anniversary guys. You were made for each other and it gives me happiness to see how much happiness you give each other. Don and I just celebrated our 4 year anniversary a couple of weeks ago. Like you, it has been our best year yet and we cannot but thank God for how lucky we are. Keep with the talking and you two will handle whatever comes your way.
