It was a great first day at work! As I posted on FB, I got to eat lunch by myself for 30 minutes where I sat down the whole time and also got to read a magazine. It was a decent day for me on C quad with very nice patients. I didn't want to maim any doctors (this is huge), and everybody told me I looked great. Now this is in scrubs, which hide many sins, but still!
Kevin did great with the kids. Fiona took a bottle and didn't scream the whole time. Patrick was his normal self, a toddler. Kevin got them to both the mall and the zoo, managing the stroller and Fiona in our carrier. The house was not destroyed when I came home. Well done, Daddy. I knew he had it in him.
Honeymoon period? Maybe, but we'll take every good day we can get, and be grateful for it.
I was fine leaving the kids. I knew they were in good hands, in perfect hands actually :) I liked the break. I like having more control over how I organize my day. And I felt very refreshed at work. It was energizing to be there, and exciting to be back in the action. Amazing what good sleep and no pain will do for my aura.
Plus, there is always some sweets hiding at work. Today it was jordan almonds. Yum.

So glad that everything went wonderful. Wanted to call on Monday evening but resisted the urge to appear nosey. So glad you blogged. Good luck with now having easy access to goodies! I have zero will power to resist.
