Dana, Tim, and Grace (Kevin's side of the family) stopped by on the way to the Mariners' game today. Grace and Nancy played with toys upstairs. The phone was the biggest hit. Dana brought us goodies: muffins and home-grown strawberries! It was a lovely visit, and we have a standing invitation to visit Grace's new big girl room anytime.
Getting the hang of the night time routine, at least as it stands right now. I got a three hour sleep stretch last night, felt like a million bucks. Then the next two times it was an hour, although one of those times I spent the hour stressing about money, family, chores, and "what ifs." Not as useful as sleep, although this was all Mommy's fault. Patrick slept great during this time.
He's simply a delight. I love being his Mommy, watching Kevin being his Daddy, and seeing Grandma enjoy this long-awaited job. He continues to eat amazingly well, and I'm going to start pumping as soon as the parts Emily was kind enough to ship arrive. We'll see how interested he is in taking a bottle, but I'm not going to worry about that for at least four weeks.
Our babysitter called to check in. I had a moment of panic...was she needing to cancel? But she just wanted to update me on a few things, all good. I'm so hoping this continues to work out. God has taken great care of me, as long as I do my homework. I'm having faith that I'll continue to be guided quietly in the right direction.

I'm glad my pictures are coming in handy, when should I stop by next to document Patrick's life? :)
Keep enjoying this blissful stage, it's a wonderful time.
Love,
Lena
