Lena hosted a playdate party at her house this afternoon, with all nine children...
including mine!
Emily, Raissa, Nathe, Lena and I ate brownies, drank homemade lemonade, discussed kid stuff, and had a great time. The kids ran all over the house playing with every toy they could get their hands on. Nature was kind and halted the rain long enough for the kiddos to burn off energy outside. And my little man slept nearly the entire time. I guess being awake for three hours during the morning for the pediatrician was just too much work.
While I gossiped with the parents, my mom shampooed my carpet. She even thanked me for it.
No, you can't have her, she's mine and I'm not sharing.
But I am going to give her ice cream and good drugs as soon as she is finished.
Dana stopped by with our sweet niece to give me some pictures she'd copied from their visits. We had a lovely visit while her daughter gave me a glimpse of what three years old looks like. She's a sweetheart of a firecracker, that girl.
Kevin is finishing up his big work project over the next three days. It's kept him quite stressed out, despite the fact that he is doing a fine job managing a gigantic task. We'll both be thrilled when it's done. He'll take his two weeks vacation then, get a massage, enjoy Patrick, and start to work on the list of chores his mean wife has been waiting to give him.

I'm so glad you had a great time and a sleeping baby at a playdate is just a passing phase - just look at all our kids. :)
