I told my Mom and Husband to forgive me today, but I was feeling just a touch short-tempered. Sleep schedule must be catching up with me. Everybody asks how he sleeps. Such a big deal with a new baby. Like labor, it's hard to say how it feels until YOU are dealing with it. So different for every new mom. It's the one drawback to breastfeeding: it's all me at 3am. But it's also a nice time with him, and it's something that only Mommy can do. So it's special, as well. Nap time for Mommy works on two good levels. One, I get some sleep. Two, Mom gets uninterrupted Grandma time. I think that's important, especially since she is currently scrubbing the tops of my kitchen cabinets.
Yes, the tops. The part that nobody sees.
Conversation last night.
Kevin (whispering): Jenny, your mom is standing on the counter in her socks.
Pause
Jenny (talking loud): Hey Mom, whacha doing?
Mom: Cleaning the tops of the cupboards.
Pause
Jenny: Mom, why don't you put your shoes on?
Mom: You don't want my shoes on your counter.
Jenny: Well, when you fall down and hurt yourself, it will be much easier to take you to the ER if your shoes are already on.

Ugh, the dreaded feeding between 2 and 4 a.m. That was the one I disliked the most and worked hard on getting the kids to kick that habit of waking mama up during those hours.
I'm glad everything is going so well and thank you for letting us come visit.
I'll add all my other pictures from Thursday on my Kodak gallery shortly.
CONGRATULATIONS, darling new mommy! And congrats to the new daddy as well. Welcome to the world, little Patrick! =) Brie
Boppys so rock. That's probably the only reason I managed to nurse the kids so long ... it was SO EASY thanks to that thing! :)
