In the next day or two, I'll write about my wonderful baby shower thrown by my lovely co-workers at the hospital. I'll brag about my fabulous mom who helps me with my yardwork.
But I'm becoming a big old wimp, highlighted by a bit of vacation from work over the past week. Seems like it's a bit harder to work 12 hours at 37+ weeks than it is at 35 weeks. So even with two decent (meaning no major emergencies and nothing fell apart on me) days, I'm pretty wiped tonight. My legs are more swollen, and they get achy at night. The Braxton-Hicks are increasing in frequency. And walking around is a bit of a project. It's good for a laugh on the floor, I guess.
However, I don't want to waste maternity leave just sitting at home. So I'll hope for the occasional "home early" and just be uncomfortable. It's not too bad. Just a bit of complaining.

Jenny! You are in the home strech! Keep in there! Let us readers know about the baby shower!
I'm sorry to hear that things are getting so uncomfortable although it is exciting to know that you're so close to seeing exactly why this has all been worth it!! :) I just wanted to let you know that I would love to help out in whatever way I can in the next few weeks (and beyond). I know you probably hear it from everyone, but seriously - if you need ANYTHING please don't hesitate to call. I live so close & would be honored to run errands and such. Just keep that in mind, 'kay? Take care of yourself... -MC
Way to stick out the long days. I'm sure when the time comes you will be happy to have those few extra days home with Patrick. Don and I arrived safely in LA. We are finishing up our first full week at our new jobs and glad it is Friday! Things are going well and the dogs are adjusting. Tonight we are going to see Pirates 3 with Matt and Camille. I look forward to reading your posts. It's nice to have that link to life and friends in Tacoma.
Thanks hon. I would not have made it through without my friends and family though, that's for sure. :)
Jenny! We readers need an update from the baby shower! Please post soon!
Yay, Jen! You rock. You're almost there. I'm so proud of you.
I wanted to give you news on my Patrick. He's officially set up in New York. His blog is http://www.bonckers.blogspot.com/.
I'll drop you a line soon. Cheers!
PS - If Danica is still in a tender state I know a great chiropractor who treats everything from race horses to small dogs. Let me know if you're interested, and I'll help with the arrangements considering how busy you're going to be.
Hey, you look great. I saved your pictures from Mother's Day so I can share them with Russ, Jenny, and Tonya. Keep us posted. Put a picture of the nursery on the blog. What joy! Love you so much, AJ
