Patrick's feeling better. We had a lovely dinner party with new friends from MOPS, Melanie and Micah. I was all set to work the weekend.

Then at 4am on Friday, I woke up Sick As A Dog. Like the Flu Semi had sideswiped my ass while I was sleeping. Chills, nausea, vomiting, and boy did my right boob hurt. After Kevin took my temp and it was 103.4, he hauled me into the car, baby and all, and took me to the ER.

I'm crying, both from pain and thinking about another medical bill.

I just hoped I wouldn't be sitting there for three hours. Turns out, when you are hypotensive and tachycardic, they see you fast!

They kept me because my heart rate wouldn't go down, my blood pressure wouldn't go up, and they thought a few more doses of IV antibiotics wouldn't hurt. After I became coherent around 1pm, I fretted and fussed until Kevin (once again) made the decision for me. Stay. And No, You will not be working this weekend either.

So I stayed. My girls on the 12th floor took care of me, and a lucky girl I was that they saved me a room. Patrick did a great job during the night for Daddy. I'm still not feeling super, all achy and stiff. My boob is still lumpy, but I'm told it will take about a week to improve.

I just hope the medical bill isn't the next thing to kick my ass.

Oh, my, that doesn't sound good at all! Don and I are in town visiting for the week. Hopefully we will get to see you in a few days when you are feeling better before we have to fly out again. Take care.
