After two busy yet uneventful days at work, it was a lovely start to my five days off.
(Have I mentioned how much I love my schedule?)
I visited the library and picked up loads of new books. I went a little crazy "shopping" on the library web site. They post lists of their new arrivals, and you can put them on hold even if they haven't arrived yet! The problem is they usually arrive all at the same time, so now I have loads of pressure to read all these books in seven days.
Then I bought the new release by Nora Roberts, Morrigan's Cross. I'm not big on her blockbusters, but I adore her various series, especially the magical/paranormal ones. I read that while I took myself out to lunch at Babblin' Bab's Bistro, a new place in Proctor with FAB sammies. Today I had a French Tarragon Egg Salad sandwich with Sasparilla Soda.
I will spare you all the boring, self-absorbed details of my visit with my shiny new therapist. It was my second time (no longer a therapy virgin!). Once again, her insight and advice was quite valuable. Even thought a big piece of it was unexpected. As I reflected on it, it sat easily on my spirit. That's how I know when I'm on the right path. My dad's earlier advice continues to ring true; doing the right thing is usually the most difficult.
Tonight is Wednesday, therefore Kevin is gaming and I'm alone in the house. I'm grateful for the quiet and solitude. I made homemade Mac and Cheese ala Rachael Ray. I might read. I might watch a movie. I probably won't do any chores. Tomorrow we'll head to a concert in Olympia to see the Wicked Tinkers!

Hooray for no chores and home by yourself! Drink some wine and take a bath - you deserve a night off! :)
How was the Wicked Tinkers concert?
You are so right that when a choice must be made, the hard choice is usually the right choice. I remember talking about that with your dad. Jeany
