I'm off to work today. Patrick woke up a few times last night, not sure what the little bugger was doing. At 2am he decided he needed a HUGE snack. Maybe someday I'll have the energy to get a bottle together so Kevin can get out of bed. But for now, since he's normally such a good sleeper, I don't want to waste a pumped bottle.

Daycare has been going well, and today is Kevin's first day doing Daddy Duty all day long, with doggies of course, by himself.

Almost.

We got an email from the lovely Barb (my inlaw's in law). Seems she had a free Saturday. She emailed her son and us to ask if anybody had some children that needed watchin'.

Why, yes we do! I figured Kevin could work in the yard for a bit if she wanted to snuzzle the baby. Wasn't that thoughtful of me, to figure out how my husband could get yardwork done? So she's generously coming over for a bit so Kevin can have baby-free project time.

I told Kevin, "You know, this is a nice break for you, first time watching Patrick and you have a grandma coming in as back up."

"Don't you think I can watch him by myself?" He asked.

"Well of course, you're his Daddy!" I replied. "But you have to admit, this is a lucky break."

Kevin smiled, "Yeah."
