I Love Rock and Roll

Kevin and I went to KZOK's "Spike and the Impailers" concert at the Emerald Queen Casino last night. Cover band starring The Bob Rivers' Show morning crew, with some other amazing musicians. The Casino is a very classy place to have a concert, as evidenced by the required dress.

A few examples:
Overalls with a tank top (on a middle aged man)
Fringed-and-beaded suede jacket with Adidas track pants
80's permed hair (on both the men AND the ladies) with the standard issue mullet

We were highly entertained by the middle aged couples behind us, obviously enjoying their multiple $5 beers but rather sad that they could only by two at a time. The other middle aged couples surrounding us only moved to clap after each song. No chair dancing, no standing up and yelling, no getting a grove on. No change in facial expressions. Somebody should have told them they were too old to go to a rock concert.

Big thanks to my husband, who gave me earplugs and said, "Wear these."
