A little bit of this and that

We have a big weekend coming up. Kevin's show The Women opens up. He's been working so hard on this show, while still being a perfect joy to live with.

Guess which statement is a slight exaggeration.

Nancy and Craig, Kevin and I attended Glen and Stacia's wedding this weekend. It was amazing, and everything looked great. And she even had cute bridesmaid dresses! A sweet ceremony that only lasted about 20 minutes. And open bar courtesy of Glen parents! We had plenty of "Stacia's Signature Drink," a Red Velvet. Vanilla vodka, white creme de cacoa, Chambord. Yummo. Nancy particularly enjoyed the bar and was quite good company for the evening. I'll post pictures later on, as soon as I sweet talk busy husband into putting them on a computer. A nice dinner, a old DJ with a youthful spirit, and fun music. And kareoke.

Yes, I sang. After every song I made my family reassure me that I did not sound like an idiot. But I'm still a little worried about it. I sang "Did I shave my legs for this," "All of me, " and the wedding classic, "Let's get drunk and screw." I dedicated that to my husband in honor of our first date.

My concert, "The Sea Symphony" is this weekend. We had our last rehearsal with Geoff directing this Monday. We sound great, like a month of rehearsals have passed since our last rehearsal one week ago. People have obviously been practicing so hard. Myself especially. So while I'm still nervous to rehearse with Harvey (the orchestra director isn't known for his sensitive demeanor. Hell, he's a bit of an ass), I think we'll do quite well. Even better, this song is the first, so then I can hang out while the family watches the rest of the show.

It's sunny, I have the next week off. I'm seeing Lena Wednesday night, and the play group Thursday at the zoo. I'm going to tackle some chores, and maybe start working in the yard! Yikes.

Later, I'll post about wine tasting and lunch with John Michael.

I hope your concert went well. :) And that Kevin's show went smoothly. Hope life is treating you both to a wonderful week this week.
