No dinner with Lena and Shaun. Their whole family is puking this week.

So we are looking for new dinner companions tonight. Any takers?

Today we might buy a ceiling fan for the bedroom. Home Depot has a sale.

Yesterday I bought new clothes! My husband rocks. "Don't worry about how expensive those pants are. You like them and they look good!" Aren't you sad he's married to somebody so less nice than that?

These are my new pants from Eddie Bauer. I needed another pair of warm-weather pants as I've worn the same ones every day this week. It takes a lot for me to show off my short, dumpy legs. Like 90 degree heat.

Then we hit Old Navy because they have long tank tops. Such a struggle--pants are always too long and shirts are always too short. So I love finding long shirts and not displaying my white stomach constantly. Started off with one black, one white. More colors to follow.

Finally, The Gap. Mecca. They are getting all their summer stuff, meaning loads of sales. The best deal was a turtleneck sweater for $2.97. It'll be like a present for next fall. Kevin got a new t-shirt and shorts. I got two v-neck tops, one cute purple tank, and a new belt. So much more shopping could have been done....

Then I had major guilt walking out of the mall. I had SPENT MONEY. Dear God, the horror. Maybe I really didn't NEED these clothes. Maybe I was being selfish. Maybe my shopping meant I wouldn't be able to fix up the house!

Then I kissed my husband goodbye, went home and sat in the sunshine and read a whole MaryJanice Davidson book while throwing the ball for Danica. And I got over it.

Dinner cancelled due to illness would have been more than enough details. My mother reads this blog too you know.
