Patrick's room is finally coming together. Despite the beautiful coat of paint (courtesy of Mom) and fun light fixture (thanks, Husband-who-can-do-household-projects), it's mostly been a jumble of hand-me-down's, lended items, and IKEA bags full of decorative stuff. But on Sunday, Kevin and I took a morning trip to Lowe's and bought our closet shelves. Kevin installed them while I praised the Lord that I married a man who knew how to use power tools.

We also picked up our carseat this weekend. Such a responsible purchase. We both looked at each other in the car afterwards....wow, we're going to have a baby, aren't we? Yep. Won't be able to give it back either. Every so often we manage to surprise ourselves with this statement.
I also managed to do more than one chore in a day, attend yoga class, and finish grocery shopping with Kevin on Sunday. That makes up for the both of us going to bed at 9am on Saturday night. To sleep, really. Such party animals.

This post makes me giggle. The Presidents of the United States of America are playing at PLU this Friday, a show that once upon a time we would have ran to, especially as it's cheap and close. But we just looked at each other and said nope, we've had our quotient of fun-without-kids for the month. (And can only abuse grandma's good will so much.) So we'll have family movie night on Friday and go native plant shopping, farmers market cruising, walking to Proctor and back (kids biking), etc. as a family on Saturday and have a blast. It's a different world, but a great one. Wouldn't give 'em back for the world.
Can hardly wait to see the room. I'll be coming up with curtains, So excited!!!
Austin and Amber want to know if Patrick's room has a "theme." They want to go shopping for their new baby cousin!
There is nothing wrong with going to bed early. Go to bed anytime you want and get all the sleep you can! :)
