On location in Dublin

We've arrived. Mom took us to the airport after we successfully killed time until 2pm. The flight was pretty nice. We attempted to upgrade, but there were no seats available. Bummer for us. But British Airway does a nice job of taking care of the cattle class. And the food was pretty good, considering. Free wine always helps, of course. We only slept in fits and starts. The kind where you wake up and can't tell if you've slept five minutes or two hours. Every seat had its own TV set, and there were 18 channels of movies and TV shows from which to choose. So Sweetiebear watched "The Jacket" and I watched "The Wedding Date." After arriving in Heathrow, we ran to catch our connection to Dublin.

And now here we are.

Since we can't figure our yet how to post pictures, I'll set up links to check out.

We're staying in Isaac's Hostel (not to be confused with the hotel) We have a private room for three nights, with bunkbeds, and then we'll stay in the dorms for the weekend. Take a look here.
The bathroom is odd per Sweetiebear. I'd call it "scary as all get out." Unisex ala Allie McBeal, including the shower rooms. At least there are doors. But the rooms are clean, and it's a fun atmosphere. Loads of people just hanging out. All different languages.

After checking in, we wandered around Temple Bar, at dinner at The Bad Ass Cafe, and had a drink and listened to a bit of music at Oliver St. John Gogarty's. Touristy, but fun. And we've battled jet lag, and it's a draw. We'll make it to about 10pm, I think. Hopefully, minus two dogs in the bed and plus curtain on the window, we'll have a bit of a sleep in. We can't wait to take a closer, more alert, look at this interesting city.

Kisses
Jenny
