I think I might like one.
After two of the longest days at work (being charge nurse) and feeling a bit mentally beat up, I got the news that our white truck might be out of commission.
(And that last sentence does not begin to reflect how horrid the last two days have been. No bad outcomes, just too much action for not enough nurses).
Permanently.
Kevin got in a car accident yesterday. Nobody hurt, not his fault (somebody was hit into the opposite lane...his). But the airbags deployed. Kevin suspects that they'll total out the truck.
Why, oh why, couldn't it have been the Subaru, with it's needing-to-be-replaced clutch?
As I lie awake at 3am with a painful back, I think about all the household projects waiting Kevin's attention that needed that truck. And I'm pretty pissed off. While we planned on a new station wagon, we were keeping the truck.
So I can't sleep (again), meaning I might as well hang out on the computer instead of listening to Kevin snore. Last night, he was the one up at this time.
Don't say it's good practice. Feeding a baby at 3am is different from financial stress at 3am.

Jen let me know what we can do to help. Maybe we can come up for a weekend and do some runs with the jeep and a trailer. Get some house projects out of the way and relieve some of that stress.
Let me know...
Jay
I'm so sorry to hear that Kevin was in an accident but I'm glad he's ok and that no one was hurt.
Craigslist does wonders for looking for a new or used truck. And it's not ideal, but having just one car does have it's virtues - less gas, more money in the bank. But then again Matt and I don't have a baby on the way, so maybe I should just stop typing...
If I hear anything I'll pass it on to you.
Love and miss you, thinking of you all the time! :)
I'm so sorry to hear about the truck fiasco. I hope you guys will at least get a good settlement out of the deal. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help out. I mean, I live so close & I've got a lot of time to spare... :) Anyway, take care of yourself & don't forget I'm only a phone call away!
Financial stress is part of being alive, especially when there is a baby involved. Keep smiling and enjoying being pregnant. Love, AJ
