As punishment for being so pleased about his "schedule," Patrick decided not to have one today. He was just awake an awful lot. So I didn't get a nap in. We headed home early from errands. The dogs didn't get a second walk in (mostly because of the weather). I'm rawther grumpy.

And I'm not having a good hair day either.

So I'm supposed to post a picture of Patrick next to Sneakers, my pound puppy (I received it Christmas when I was seven years old. It was also the year I got my first Barbie doll. This year was the last Christmas before my folks split up). But I'm too tired to take it right now. So I'll take the picture tonight and post it in the morning. Patrick is one month old today. Even when he's annoying, I love that cute little sucker so very much.

Still feel guilty about the dogs not getting the same amount of attention. This does not bother my husband, as he has the benefit of being a man.

Did manage to visit Raissa and her gorgeous new daughter. She's like a little rosebud, beautiful as her mommy. I bribed my way in the door with chocolate cake for a quick visit. Makes up for the fact that I forgot a card. And a present. Can I blame my own mommy brain on that?

Had a great visit yesterday with Lena and her kids. Kevin played video games with Mattias, and was rewarded by an offer to "come see my room" before we went home. Adorable! I brought chocolate cake for the grown-ups, and the three of us did it justice. Lovely to simply hang out and be with each other.

But I do have some phone calls to make tomorrow. A BIG apology to my wonderful Aunt Irene, who called me three weeks ago, is still waiting for a return call, but decided that she liked me enough to still send a baby present. Aunt Irene, sorry about that! I'm going to call soon, like tomorrow, I promise! :)

And darn it! We just missed you! We were dropping off dinner for Raissa and you were parked in "the spot" ... and by the time we went down below and walked up you were just driving away! Ack! I need another peek at that growing boy!
