Kevin got home about 10pm last night, drained from another long day with the kids' camp at work. But he gave me a big hug. "I'm sorry you had a rough evening with him," he said.
I had told him earlier on the phone that I needed a bit of a break tomorrow before he went to work. So he's taking the morning shift today. And Patrick, having mercy on his mommy, slept from 9pm-4am (sweet!), then napped on until 7am after his early morning snack. So I got up with my biddy, gave him a big ol' meal, changed him into a cutie outfit (it's such a mommy stereotype, but Kevin doesn't put him in matching clothes), and chatted with him for a while. At 7:45am, I woke up Kevin. "Here you go, Daddy!" Currently they are downstairs watching Rick Steve's episode on Poland.
And I am drinking a leisurely cup of coffee while surfing the internet. Now if I could only get my girls (Danica and Freya) to go bug Daddy as well, I'd have the perfect morning.

HA!
Yeah. That's the practical guy trait. Clothed = clothes on body. Who cares how it looks ... not like they're going anywhere!
I'm just happy the trio 'round here isn't running around nekkid. If they're covered, I'm cool.
Argh. Ya, let's just say never let daddy dress them for a wedding and meet you there. If it's an event you want the kids looking cute and adorable at, dress them yourself. Daddy's can likely handle hair if reminded, even on girls, but for god's sake, dress them yourself or at least lay out outfits with strict mandates not to stray into freakin' PLAYWEAR! (Aka, gaudy too-big dresses that are only for play.)
